About Flowers for August:

Hey there! I'm Mallie Watkins, the owner and lead designer behind Flowers For August. I'm 23 years old and my amazing 3-year-old son, August, is the heart and inspiration behind our name!

Art has always been a passion of mine. Ive loved to work with ink, oil, and acrylic mediums but when I started working with flowers everything just felt natural and I truly loved it, as cliche as this sounds, I knew I had found my calling. I started by simply arranging blooms for friends and family, and somewhere along the way, I completely fell in love with the wedding industry through floral design. There's nothing quite like the joy of bringing someone's floral dreams to life on their most special day. I knew I wanted to do more.

I once had this vision of brides, with a bouquet I'd made, running off to chase their dreams – becoming the independent women they always knew they could be, with nothing holding them back. This sparked a whole story in my mind, "The Runaway Brides," and where their journey took them. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to weave that spirit of  individuality into Flowers For August.

I love to design, and I thrive on creativity! I never want to be limited to just one style, one color palette, or one type of project. My goal is to do it all, constantly explore new ideas, and stay ready to "runaway" to discover exciting new possibilities within the floral industry. It's all about keeping things fresh, innovative, and always blooming!
